THE GIRLS

Almond Joy

Almond is a rambunctious girl with a heart of gold.  She'll follow you from sun up to sun down, begging for yet another ear rub.  Always eager to break through the gate, she runs to the milk stand and waits for us to come milk her (bring her some grain).  She kidded with twins her first freshening, and triplets every year since then.

Angel's Solo

Angel is our fancy goat and she knows it!  She seems to actually enjoy having her hooves trimmed, and almost purrs out loud for throat rubs!  Probably THE most social girl in the herd, she is always the first one at the gate for milking and the last one to leave once the lights have been turned off.  She is a very dependable producer who lives up to her blood lines.

Lady Cactus

Cactus is a loner goat.  She is always in the middle of the herd, and the last to approach a stranger.  But once she warms up to you, she doesn't leave your side.  She has a great utter and is a DREAM to milk.  Her bloodlines really shine through on the milk stand!

Luna

Twin sister to Cactus, but so not the same.  She has the same great milking qualities but what a different personality.  Everyone who steps into the goat pen is her best friend.  Very social, playful and fun to milk, ta boot!

Backstrap

Rambar Ranch Backstrap, ADGA N1488851

         Sire: Saada Lord Orian

Dam:  Random Bey Bambi

DOB: 2/3/2009

Backstrap is Cavan's favorite goat.  She came to our farm when she was a few days old and Cavan immediately claimed her.  She has grown into the tamest girl here, the boys love to sit on her - she never moves (which is no good for muttin-bustin' practice!).

Blue Bell

Blue Bell is a strong goat with beautiful ears.  She and Tonto came to our herd together, as babies.  Her first year, she was milking 3/4 of a gallon a day, so we have high expectations for her as she ages.  She has wonderful utter structure and is a joy to have as a pet and a milker.

Dam:  Zenubi*Creek Blue Tinkerbell

 Crimson N' Clover

Crimson is another one of my favorites.  She came to us as a yearling.  We were very eager for her to breed and kid as she comes from a great sire that we heard a lot about.  Wow!  We were not disapointed!  Crimson quickly climbed the scale to be a top producer here at Nuluv.  Oh, and as for personality, they don't get much funnier than this one.  Man, she can talk!

Sidekick

Sidekick got her name for her dependable leap everytime we stepped into the kid pen.  We were constantly telling her to get down, as a doeling.  She is another one that came to us a baby!  She has one teat that quirts sideways, which makes milking her by hand a little messy.  She is a solid producer, though, averaging around 3/4 gallon a day her first freshening.

Em

Em came to us from a local lady who has been raising nubians forever.  Em is 7/8 nubian, with a splash of spanish thrown in.  She is one of the stongest does I have ever had to drag!  This girl can fill a milk pail in no time.

Jewel

I think Jewel is the prettiest goat here.  This picture does not do her justice ~  it was taken in the summer of 2010.  She has proven to be a great milker and has a very laid back temperment.

Glow Bug

Glow came to us along with Em.  She was dam raising 2 doelings when we brought her home, but was also familiar with a milk stand (and the grain that goes along with the stand!).  A follower, she lets Em do the fighting for the both of them, and quietly stands in the back.  She is one of the most consistent milkers on our farm, and has kidded 2 sets of triplets for us.

Vino

Vino is another of my favorites.  I absolutely love milking her Mama, so of course, I had to keep her first doeling.  Vino freshened with a bag just like Crimson's.  She is a solid milker and has the funniest personality.  She and Faline are BFFs!

Paparika

Paprika is not registered.  She is a hilarious goat, who is constantly in trouble.  She likes wandering into the camper when we aren't paying attention and leave the door open to load or unload.  She keeps the "fancy" girls real and puts out just as much milk as any of them!

 Pretty Faline

Vino's BFF, Faline is our sweet Bambi's last doeling.  Bambi was our herd queen, and we lost her to injuries sustained from a dog.  She kept her herd safe, and took the brunt of an attack.  It was a sad day when she left us.  I am so glad we had decided to keep her doeling from the past kidding season.  Faline was a solid first time freshener and I hope she fills the hooves her Mama left for her.

Tubbs

Tubbs in another girl that came to us from the same herd as Em & Glow Bug.  She is not registered, and has a bit of Spanish in her.  She is hearty goat that puts out a solid gallon a day.

Nutty Squaw

I had this girl named the day we introduced Tonto to Almond Joy ("Almond Joys have nuts, Mounds don't.").  I was so excited to see her colors when she was born!  She will be bred for the first time in the spring of 2012.

Running Reisling

Reisling just comes from the greatest line of dams!  I hope I always have several does from this line on my milk stand.  She will be bred for the first time in the spring of 2012.

Cream O' Wheat

Cream o' Wheat was born to Spotty last winter.  Spotty was an older goat who was given to us at retirement time.  We decided to breed her one last time, with Tonto, just because of her moon spots.  She was beautiful!  And so is her doeling.  Spotty milked OVER a gallon a day.  I hope Cream o' Wheat follows her legacy.  She will be bred for the first time in the spring of 2012.

Faline's Heart

Heart comes from another line of dams I want to keep a doeling out of every season.  She will be bred for the first time in the spring of 2012.

Emma

Our strawberry blond, Emma had a rough first year.  She got her foot caught in a log and spent some time in a PVC cast.  She's every bit of the fighter her dam is!  But she is much sweeter than her dam!  She will be bred for the first time in the spring of 2012.

Yellow's Sabian

Sabian is a cross between a Saanen and a Nubian. Her dam is another one that came to us at retirement time.  But JukeBox thought she was good for another season, and she was.  Mellow is gone, now, but she left a bit of Saanen in our herd!  Sabian will be bred for the first time in the spring of 2012.

Sire: Zenubi*Creek Tonto

Dam:  Mellow

Raisin

Raisin and Prune came to us this summer after the wild fire in Bastrop.  They were not bred or in milk when they got here.  Our boys serviced them in December 0f 2011.  Stay tuned . . .

Prune

THE BOYS

Juke-Box

Juke-Box is our herd sire.  He is the only goat here that was not a bottle baby and came to our herd as a wild one!  I am happy to report that he has settled down and is ALMOST as calm as everyone else.  He'll even eat out of our hands these days.  He doesn't always sprot a mohawk, but I love this picture.  He is tall drink of water and very strong!  Check out his ears ~ Gorgeous.  All of his kids have those long beautiful ears!

Tonto

Tonto is my love bug.  He is a big ol' thick teddy bear of a stinky billy.   His kids are all so colorful and always seem to be tricolored.   He is solid muscle and just a beauty of a billy.  The ladies love him.
